COUNTY RESIDENT DIES JANUARY 1
SERVICES HELD FRIDAY FOR MRS. WILLIAM YOUNG
Mrs. Florence Young, 69, died Tuesday, January 1, (1957) at her home
in Lowmansville following an illness of several months.
Born in Illinois, Feb. 2, 1887, she was the daughter of Wesley and
Lois Heffner. SHe had been a resident of Lowmansville for ten years
and was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. Her husband,
William Young, preceded her in death in 1947.
She is survived by three sons; Mount Young, Tutor Key; Arnold Young,
Thealka and Frank Young, Lowmansville.
(She was also survived by) three daughters; Beulah Bowens,
Lowmansville; Inis Daniel, Huntington, W. Va.; and Gladys Lowe,
Lowmansville; five brothers, Walter Heffner, Sidney Heffner, Russell
Heffner, Elmo Heffner, and Lloyd Heffner, all of Chesapeake, Ohio;
and two sisters, Nellie Blevins, Chesapeake, Ohio and Ella Daniel,
Wayland.
Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Thealka
Freewill Baptist Church with Scott Castle officiating.
Burial was made in the family cemetery at Thealka under the direction
of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
