ARGALES WITTEN 1891-1959 Argales Witten, 67, lifelong resident of Wittensville, died Sunday at 1:30 a.m., in a local hospital of cancer following an illness of seven months. The son of William N. and Nancy Alley Witten, he was born in this county October 19, 1891. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Minnie Rice Witten; four sons, Bill, Angales, Jr., and Russell Witten, all of Lakewell, Florida; Jack Witten, Sebring, Florida, two daughters, Mrs. Edith Sadler, Harold; Mrs. Vivian Bayes, Wittensville; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday from the Rush Fork Methodist Church at Wittensville with Rev. R. S. Dearfield as officiating minister.
