Raymond Wells, 20 former resident of Van Lear, was killed
instantly about 4:00 a.m., Sunday, June 23, in an automobile
accident near Defiance, Ohio.

He was born November 2, 1942, at Van Lear the son of Joe and
Lillie Webb Wells. At the time of his death he was making his home
in Defiance where he was employed by Campbell's Soup Company.

Surviving besides his parents are six brothers, Joe D., Denver and
Hubert of Van Lear; Charles, George and Everett Wells all of
Defiance, Ohio; two sisters, Josephine Cassidy, Dayton, Ohio;
Gerald Cassidy, Tuscon, Arizona.

Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., today at the Daniels
Creek Church of Christ with Leonard Webb as officiating minister.

Burial was in the Wells Cemetery.
