MARY WARD
1904-1985
Mrs. Mary Ward, 81, died Monday, May 6, 1985, in Paul B. Hall
Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mrs. Ward was born Tuesday, October 4, 1904, in Johnson County, the
daughter of John and Christine Robinson Meade. She was a resident
of Paintsville and a member of the United Baptist Church.
Her husband, Fred Ward, preceded her in death Wednesday, September
21, 1977.
Surviving are five daughters, Dollie Hampton of Mineral City, Ohio,
Christine Rogers of Hope Dale, Ohio, Esta Mahan of Staffordsville,
Alberta Louise Castle of Canton, Ohio and Frances Plummer of
Paintsville; three sisters, Mable Collins of Ypsilanti, MI,
Savannah Burns of Nippa and Mert Blanton of Stambaugh; four
brothers, Mitchell Meade of Paintsville, Bill Meade of Nippa,
Marvin Meade of Catlettsburg and Jeff Meade of Wurtland, KY.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 9, 1985, in Paintsville
Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Lonza Reed and Irvin Castle
officiating.
Burial will be in the family cemetery at Sitka.
