Hoy Van Hoose, 65, miner and farmer of Tutor Key, died in a local
hospital Saturday, May 9, 1959, at 9:15 a.m., following an illness
of several months.

A lifelong resident of Tutor Key, he was born November 20, 1893,
the son of Marion and Emma Dixon Van Hoose.

Surviving are his wife, Minnie McKenzie Van Hoose; two sons, Hoy
Van Hoose, Jr., and Harry Thomas Van Hoose, both of Tutor Key; four
daughters, Frances Witten, Detroit, Michigan, Emogene Blanton and
Ida Mae Grimes both of Tutor Key; Deloris Witten, Sitka; three
sisters Stella Van Hoose, Nippa; Madge Stapleton, Paintsville;
Gladys Burchett, Lima, Ohio; one brother, Rascus Van Hoose,
Lowmansville.

Funeral services were conducted at 10:oo a.m., Monday, May 11,
1959, from the home with Lonza Reed and O. I. Williams officiating.

Burial was in the family cemetery at Tutor Key.
