OMER TAYLOR 1904-1955
Employee of C. & O. For Thirty-Five Years Succumbs Sunday Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the home in Bridgeford for Omer Taylor, 51, who died in a local hospital Sunday, after suffering a heart attack. He had been in ill health for five years. The son of the late W.S. and Jemimah Allen Taylor, he was born March 07, 1904, in Mt. Sterling. He had been a resident of Paintsville for a number of years, where he was employed as machinist for the C. & O. Railway Company. He had been with the company for 35 years. He was married September 30, 1943, to Jetty Ward who survives. Surviving besides his wife are one son, Omer Douglas Taylor, one daughter, Mima Jean Taylor and two brothers, Demra Taylor, Martin, KY., and Ward Beecher Taylor, Aberdeen, Maryland. The officiating ministers were the Rev. M.R. Thomason and the Rev. C.C. Hall with music by the Paintsville Quartet. Burial was made in the Wells Cemetery under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home. Paintsville Herald Wednesday Sep.14, 1955
