CYNTHIA TACKETT 1909-1964 Rites Sunday At Staffordsville Mrs. Cynthia Tackett, 54, resident of Staffordsville, died in a local hospital at 5:00 p.m., Thursday, January 9, following a six weeks illness. The daughter of the late Zack and Manda Sparks Salyers, she was born in Johnson County July 29, 1909, and had lived at Staffordsville for several years. Surviving are her husband, Sherman Tackett; five sons, Billie Ray and Sherman Tackett, Jr., both of Staffordsville; Giddie and Willis Jones both of Lima, Ohio; Robert Gene Jones, Red Bush; a daughter, Mrs. Lillie Mae Holbrook, Red Bush; two brothers, Tommy Salyers, Kerz; Simmie Salyers, Barnetts Creek. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 1:00 p.m., Sunday at Old Union Church at Staffordsville with John Pelphrey and Robert Blanton as officiating ministers.
