ORVILLE SWAIN 1929-2007 Funeral services will be held Friday, May 11, 11 a.m. at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel for Orville “Bob” Swain, 78, of Boons Camp, Ky., who passed away Tuesday, May 8 2007 at his residence. Mr. Swain was born April 16, 1929 in Johnson County, Ky., son of the late Melvin Swain and Hazel Butcher. He was a retired maintenance worker with Wabash Alloys. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Iris Joyce Moore Swain. Surviving are three daughters, Rosemary Storberg of Boons Camp, Kathy Overlander of Akron, Ind., and Deborah Stevens of Wabash, Ind.; two brothers, James E. Preston of Thelma, Ky., and Melvin D. Swain of East Point, Ky.; four sisters, Lennie Belle Williamson of Roann, Ind., Mary Lou Salisbury of Teaberry, Ky., Phyllis Swartz of Worthington, Ohio, and Betty Lee Rediford of Paintsville, Ky.; and 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. The service will be officiated by Claude Mollette, with burial in the Old Friendship Memorial Gardens of Williamsport, Ky. Arrangements under the direction of the Preston Funeral Home of Paintsville.
