IMOGENE SMITH
1926-1948
Mrs. Imogene Dawson Smith, 22, of Thelma, died Thursday at 9 a.m. in
a local hospital after a long illness. She was a victim of
tuberculosis.
A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Dawson, she was born March 16,
1926, and had been a resident of this county all her life.
Surviving besides her parents, are her husband, Estil Smith; one son,
Theodore Thomas Smith; three daughters, Loretta, Carol Ann, and Polly
Sue. She leaves one brother and two sisters, Theodore Dawson, Jr.,
Thelma; Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Meek, Thelma; and Mrs. Georgene Maynard,
South Solon, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the home of her
parents, by Revs. Leonard Walters, Hermie Davis and Culley Sparks.
Burial was made in the family cemetery by the Preston Funeral Home.
