ANNA MAE SMITH
1911-1978
Anna Mae Smith, 66, died Friday, February 24, in
Highlands Regional Medical Center after an extended
illness.
Mr. Smith was born May 23, 1911,in Johnson County, the
daughter of Millard Morgan and Alice Adkins. She was a
resident of East Point and a member of the Church of God.
Her husband, John Smith, preceded her in death in 1957.
Surviving are two sons, Jay James Kimbler, Georgia, and
Basil Smith; six daughters, Kathleen Estep, East Point,
Barbara Ann Smith, Delbarton, W.Va., Alka Loucille Smith,
Prestonsburg, Dorothy Lee Smith, Michigan, Minnie Combs,
Indiana, and Mary Conley, Wayland; a brother, Henry
Morgan, Wayland; and 22 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, February 26, in Jones
Preston Funerla Home Chapel with Rev. Moses Kitchen
officiating.
Burial was in Powers Cemetery / Adams Cemetery at East
Point with Jones Preston Funeral Home handling
arrangements.
