LUSTER SHORT
  
Luster Short, age 77 of Meally, died Saturday, October 6, 1984, at
Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center.
  
Born in Johnson County, September 27,1907, he was the son of the late
Fred and Louise Akers Short.
  
Mr. Short is survived by his wife, Lucille Hall Short; a son, Paul
Edwin Short, of Sitka; a daughter, Ruth Butcher, of Meally; two
sisters, Rosa Music, of Ohio; Mary Lou Powers, Meally; and four
grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were conducted in the Jones-Preston Funeral Home
Chapel Tuesday, October 9, with J.M. Scott officiating.
  
Burial was made in the family cemetery, at Meally, under the
direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
