EMMA SCARBERRY
1889-1974

Emma Scarberry, a native of Johnson County, died at her Columbus,
Ohio, residence on Wednesday March 6 1974, after an extended
illness.

The 86 year old Mrs. Scarberry was the daughter of the late Jessie
and Jayne Wiley VanHoose and was born March 8 1889.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garfield Scarberry, in
January of 1962.

Surviving are two sons, Arnold and Freddie of Nippa; three
daughters, Winna Lee Castle of Columbus, Joyce Baldridge of
Springfield, Ohio; and Anna Lee VanHoose of South Webster, Ohio;
16 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were conducted at the Mouth Of Rush Freewill
Baptist Church on Sunday March 10, with Reverends Claude Preston
and Scott Castle officiating.

Interment was in the Family Cemetery at Nippa, with arrangements
under the direction of the Jones-Preston Funeral Home.
