HULDA SAMMONS 1948 THELMA WOMAN DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS Funeral services for Mrs. Hulda Sammons, 54, who was taken by death on November 26, 1948, after an illness of several years, were conducted at 1 P.M. Sunday, November 28, at her home at Thelma by the Reverends Winifred Meek, Hermie Davis and Leonard Walters. Mrs. Sammons, a daughter of Henry and Sarah Ward Price, was born in Johnson County, Kentucky, and was a lifelong resident of Thelma. Besides her husband, Martin Sammons, she is survived by four sons, Henry, San Francisco, California; Martin, Detroit, Michigan; John P., San Diego, California; and Edsel, Detroit; and four daughters, Mrs. Arnie Daniels, Meally; Mrs. Herbert Johnson, Thelma; Mrs. Eugene Price, Paintsville; and Mrs. William Tackett, Paintsville.
