VESTA SALYER Dies January 31 1966 At Red Bush Mrs. Vesta Salyer, 60 died at her home in Red Bush, January 31, 1966, at 1:00 p.m. following an illness of several months. Born October 25 1896 to Armstrong and Sythia Rowland, she was a member of the Enterprise Baptist Church. She was married to Clinton Salyer, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Orville Ferguson of Detriot, Michigan; a son, Clinton Salyer Jr., of Flat Gap; and nine grandchildren; one brother, Eckell Rowland, of Red Bush; and two sisters, Mrs. Cecil Lewis of Isomville, Ky; and Mrs. Freeman Salyer of Red Bush. Funeral services were held today at the Red Bush Enterprise Baptist Church, at 11:00 a.m., with Henry Hamilton and William Bailey officiating. Burial was was conducted in the Family Cemetery, Red Bush. The Paintsville Fuhneral Home was in charge of arrangements. PAINTSVILLE HERALD February 2 1966
