Eckell Rowland, 90, of Redbush, died Saturday Dec.09 2000 in
Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg.
  
Mr. Rowland was born June 4, 1910, in Redbush, a son of the late
Armstrong and Cytha Bowlen Rowland.
  
A son, Homer Rowland, also preceded him in death.
  
He was an electrician.
  
Surviving are his wife, Virginia Woods Rowland; four sons, Sammie
J. Rowland of Redbush and Wendell Rowland, Hurst Rowland and
Michael Rowland, all of Detroit; two daughters, Zezalee Keaton of
Charlie and Mary Mae McCoy of Louisville; and a sister, Mae
Ferguson of Detroit.
  
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Redbush Enterprise
Baptist Church by the Rev. Ellis Hamilton.
  
Burial will be in Salyers Cemetery in Redbush.
  
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Monday at
Paintsville Funeral Home.
