CREVAL ROWLAND
1924-2007
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 2, 1 p.m. at the
Paintsville Funeral Home Chapel for Creval Rowland, 82, of
East Point, Ky., who passed away Wednesday, Feb. 28 2007 at
Paul B. Hall Regional Medical Center in Paintsville, Ky.
Mr. Rowland was born Dec. 22, 1924, son of the late Henry
and Lula Curtis Rowland.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Gullett
Rowland; one son, Glen Rowland; and one brother and seven
sisters.
He was a WWII Army veteran.
Surviving are seven sons, Charles, Gary, and William
Rowland, all of Hager Hill, Ky., Clifford and Richard
Rowland, both of Paintsville, Ky., Happy Rowland of East
Point, and Mike Rowland of Thelma, Ky.; one daughter, Jenny
Burkhalter of Paintsville, Ky.; two sisters, Billie Jean
Azelton of Clio, Mich., and Bertie Melvin of Wabash, Ind.;
one brother, William Rowland of Paintsville; and 23
grandchildren and several great-and great-great-
grandchildren. The service will be officiated by the Revs.
Larry Blair and Ronnie Spriggs.
A military gravesite service will be conducted by Chapter 18
DAV of Auxier, Ky.
Burial will be at the Adams Family Cemetery at East Point.
Arrangements under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral
Home of Paintsville.
