GYPSIE ROBERTS 1892-1959 Gypsie Roberts, Local Resident, Dies Thursday Mrs. Gypsie Roberts, 67, died December 10 at 7:40 a.m., at the home of her daughter, Anna Lee Blanton in this city, following an illness of three weeks. The daughter of Thomas and Emma Burton Osborne she was born in Floyd County July 29, 1892, and had been a resident of this city for the past eight years. She was a member of the United Baptist Church. Her husband, Bailey Roberts, preceded her in death January 26, 1959. Also surviving are two sons, Joe Roberts, Urbana, Ohio; and Rufus Roberts, Inez; another daughter, Mrs. Nellie Tackett, Chillicothe, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Salyers, Prestonsburg and Mrs. Cora Smith, Peru, Indiana; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday from the Boons Camp Freewill Baptist Church with Claude Preston and James Lyons as officiating ministers. Burial was in the Offutt Cemetery.
