HARVEY RATLIFF

Harvey Ratliff, 80, died at his home In Nippa Johnson Co, Ky.,

at 11:50 P. M., August 11,1950 after an illness
of about eight months.

The son of James and Rebecca Blanton Ratliff, he was born
Mar.14 1868 in Johnson County, Kentucky.

A member of the Freewill Baptist Church, he was a resident
of Nippa for 19 years.

Mr. Ratliff is survived by his wife, Mrs. Genola (Nola)
Hampton Ratliff, and five sons, 4 daughters, Jess Ratliff,
Wittensville; Walker Ratliff, Meally;
Harry Ratliff, Yatesville, Ky., James Ratliff, Dean, Ky.;
Clarence Ratliff, Glo,. Ky.; Mrs. Clarinda "Clara Music, 
Van Lear; Mrs.Venious Mae Music, Glo;
Mrs. Loretta "Lora" Branham, and Mrs. Flora Caldwell,
both of Nippa.

Surviving brothers and sisters are, Mrs. Arminta Spencer,
Hager Hill; John Elliott Ratliff, Barnetts Creek;
Silas Ratliff, Paintsville.

Funeral rites were held at the Toms Creek Freewill Baptist
Church at 1:30 p. m. August 13, with the
Revs. Millard Van Hoose and Claude Preston officiating.

Music was furnished by the Toms Creek Quartet.

Burial was made in the Dixon Cemetery at Whittensville under
the direction of the Jones Funeral Home.
