Services Held Sunday At Concord Church
  
Mrs. Hester Price, 83, died at the home of her son, Eugene Price,
city, January 15 1953, following an illness of one day.  Death was
attributed to a stroke.
  
Born October 27 1869 at East Point, she was the daughter of Thomas
and Jennie Harris Auxier. She had been a resident of Paintsville
for a year.
  
She was married in 1887 to George W. Price who preceded her in
death in 1940.  A son, Jim Price, also preceded her in death
January 5 1953.
  
Surviving are two sons, Garner Price, Toledo, Ohio, Eugene Price,
city; two daughters, Mrs. Nora Johnson, Thelma, Mrs. Beull Ferguson
Price, 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-
grandchild; one brother Edd Auxier, Columbus, Ohio.
  
Funeral services were held at the Concord United Baptist Church on
Sunday with the Revs. Leonard Walters, L.T. Preston and Buell
Ferguson officiating.  Burial was made in the family cemetery under
the direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
