Emma "Dadsey" Stapleton Price, 84 of Paintsville, died Sunday
October 10, 1996.
  
She was born September 1, 1912, in Johnson County, the daughter of
Beecher Stapleton and 0llie Colvin.
  
She is preceded in death by both her mother and father, Beecher
Stapleton and Ollie Colvin:
  
She is survived by two sons, Mitchel Neil and Bonnie Price of Oil
Springs, John Scott and Judy Price of Lexington; five daughters,
Neeka Price Penix, of Ypsilanti, Michigan; Christine and Emory
Caudill of Zenia, Ohio; Hoberta and Danny Nickerson of Hickory
North Carolina. Blanche Wheeler, of Lovettsville, Virginia, Janet
Shearer of Winchester Kentucky; one brother Ashley Ward Stapleton,
of Springfield, Ohio; four sisters, Christine Williams of Kenova,
West Virginia, Irene Colvin of Paintsville; Ella Meade of Fairborne
Ohio; and Mary Ann Wehle of Nicholasville. Also 18 grandchildren
and 20 great grandchildren.
  
Services were at Jones-Preston Funeral Home with Charles Gearheart
officiating.
  
Burial was in the Price Family Cemetery in Oil Springs.
