HARRY PRESTON 1879-1961 Harry Preston, 82, retired coal miner of Hager Hill, died in a local hospital at 5:50 a.m., Wednesday, November 15, after an illness of five weeks. The son of Isaac and Malinda Price Preston, he was born at Nippa July 20, 1879, and had been a resident of Hager Hill for the past fifty-two years. His wife, Lillie Ellis Preston, preceded him in death September 29, 1941. Surviving are three sons, Wilson, Thomas H. and James Preston all of Hager Hill; three daughters, Miss Hazel Preston, Mrs. Viola Blair and Mrs. Alice Stambaugh all of hager Hill. Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday from the home with C. C. Hall and Claude Preston as officiating ministers. Burial was in the family cemetery at Hager Hill. Paintsville Herald Wednesday 22 November 1961
