Services Are Held At Sitka For
Mrs. Dollie Dixon Preston, 76.
  
Mrs. Dollie Dixon Preston, age 76, died July 17 1965, 6:30 p.m.,
at the Paintsville Clinic after an extended illness.
  
Born February 18 1899, at Sitka, she was the daughter of Isaac
and Margret May Dixon.
  
She had been a resident of Sitka all her life and was a member
of the United Baptist Church.
  
Mrs. Preston's husband, J. Langley Preston, preceded her in
death September 14 1964.
  
She is survived by a son, James H. Preston, Sitka; six daughters,
Agnes Stambaugh, Wittensville; Erie K. Brown, Wittensville;
Iva Bailey, Catlettsburg; Hermalee Lemaster,
Lexington; Dixie VanHoose, Van Lear; Mary Roberts, Paintsville.
  
Other survivors include a brother, Erie VanHoose, Frankfort;
22 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
  
The funeral services took place at her home Sunday, July 18
at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Tommie Bailey and
Rev. Lonza Reed officiating.
  
Burial was at the Dixon Cemetery, Sitka, with the
Preston Funeral Home in charge.
