ELDRIDGE L. PACK 1895-1961 E.L. Pack, 66, well known resident of Collista, died in a local hospital at 8:20 a.m., Tuesday, August 15, of cancer following an eight months’ illness. He was co- owner of the Big Sandy Motor Company of this city. The son of George and Alwida Preston Pack, he was born April 7, 1895, at Williamsport and was a member of the United Baptist Church. He was first married to Nola Daniels Pack, who preceded him in death July 11, 1959. He was later married to Mrs. Willa Jane Price Pack, who survives. Surviving children by his first marriage are two sons, Paul and Edgar Pack both of this city five daughters, Mrs. Neva Blair and Mrs. Dorothy Daniels, both of Williamsport; Mrs. Marie Preston, Thelma; Mrs. Erma Lainhart, Richmond, Ky.; Mrs. Maxine Wells, Sidney, Ohio; a sister, Mrs. Goldia Hoschar, Williamsport; four brothers, Walter Pack and Herb Pack, both of Williamsport; Gaylord Pack, Paintsville; Arnold Pack, Morehead. Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m., Friday at the Old Friendship United Baptist Church with Winfrey Meek, Glen Arrowood, Flem Arrowood and Foster Rigsby as officiating ministers. Active pallbearers were Forrest Mollett, Charlie Mollett, Chester Collins, Emery Cantrell and Granville Butcher. Burial was in the Pack Cemetery at Williamsport.
