ALWILDA PACK
1873-1955
 
Mrs. Alwilda Preston Pack, 81, well-known resident of Johnson
County, died at her home at Williamsport Wednesday, April 25,
1955, following an illness of four months.

The daughter of the late Eliphas and Elizabeth Ward Preston, she
was born May 25, 1873.  She had been a member of the Friendship
United Baptist Church for sixty-three years.

 She was preceded in
death October 11, 1939, by her
 husband, George W. Pack.


Surviving are five sons, E. L. Pack, Denver, Ky., Walter and
Herbert Pack, both of Williamsport, Arnold Pack, Beaver, Ohio,
Gaylard Pack, city; one daughter, Mrs. Golda Pack Hoacher,
Niagara Falls, N. Y.

Other survivors include four brothers, Paris Preston,
Williamsport, Ernest Preston, Offutt, Jessie Preston, Inez,
Ballard Preston, Boons Camp, 28 grandchildren and 18 great-
grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday at the Old Friendship United
Baptist Church.

Burial was made in the family cemetery under the direction of the
Preston Funeral Home.
