Louis Nelson, 34, Thealka resident, died in a local hospital at 9:00
a.m., February 29, following an ilness of one week. He had been ill
of a heart condition.

The son of Will and Emmaline Lyons Nelson, he was born February 25,
1926, at Thealka and had been a lifelong resident of that community.

He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.

Survivors include the following brothers and sisters: Ike Nelson,
City; Vencil Nelson, Thealka; Ismael Nelson, Thealka; Virginia
Trimble, Thealka; half brothers, Charlie Nelson, Sheridan, Ind.; half
sisters, Lora Stambaugh, Catlettsburg; Ella Stambaugh, Catlettsburg,
Ella Gambill, Ashland; Eula Edna Gambill, LaGrange, Rouie Combs,
Payne, Ohio; Lydia Margaret Lyons, Garrett.

Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 3,
from the Thealka Freewill Baptist Church with Don Fraley and James
Lyons as officiating ministers.

Burial was in the family cemetery at Thealka.
