JOHN J. MCCOART The body of Pvt. John J. McCoart, is scheduled to arrive Saturday morning from an overseas cemetery, and will be taken to the home of his uncle, Pat McCoart, at West Van Lear. Pvt. McCoart is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John McCoart of Ligon. Funeral services will be conducted at St. Michael's Mission Monday morning and burial will be made in the Catholic cemetery at Van Lear. ============================================== JOHN J. MCCOART Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 13, by Rev. Joseph Wimmers at the Catholic Church here for Pvt. John J. McCoart III who died February 26, 1945 at St. Bernard, Belgium. He was 19 years old at the time of his death. The son of John McCoart, Jr. of Ligon, Pvt. McCoart, before entering the army attended high school at Wheelwright. He entered the service at Lima, Ohio, and served with the Lima Tank Division. Surviving are his parents, two brothers and one sister: Charles Ray and Chorine of Lima, O., and Leo McCoart, city. Pallbearers were: Tom Short, Joe McCoart, Jack Wills, Billy Hanker, David Kelly, Jr., and Richard Arrowood. Burial was made in the Catholic cemetery at Van Lear.
