VINA MAY 1878-1953 Mrs. Vina May, 65, wife of W. H. May of Hager Hill, died Thursday Morning, February 12, 1953 in a local hospital. She had been ill for the past year. A native of Johnson County, born and reared near East Point, she was a lifelong resident of that section and was well known and liked by her many friends in the community. She was the daughter of the late David Johnson and Fannie Burke Johnson and was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Clarence Salyer of Allen, KY. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Exer Lilly, and Mrs Lora Wells of East Point, and Mrs. Drucie Castle of Thealka. Also one brother, William Johnson of Pemberton, WV. Services were conducted from the home at 2P.M. Saturday, February 14 by the Rev. Lewis Lynch. Burial was in the family cemetery at Hager Hill under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home.
