LOUIE A. KIRK
  
Louie Kirk, 87 died Monday June 9, 1997 at Mountain Manor Nursing
Home.
  
Mr. Kirk was born April 26,1910, in Jackson County, to the late
Andrew Jackson Sr. and Elizabeth Goble Kirk.
  
He was a telephone lineman and maintenance worker at Jenny Wiley
state park.
  
Surviving are his wife Mary Hall Kirk, four sons of California, two
stepsons, one daughter of Louisa, one sister, Alice Hall of Ashland
and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and five step-
grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren.
  
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 11 at 1 P.M. at Jones-
Preston Funeral home chapel, with Dick Vanhoose and Hubert Slone
officiating
  
Burial will be in the Hall family cemetery at Meally.
  
NOTE: This Cemetery is also known as the 
"Luster Short Cemetery"
