LAURA JOHNSON 1882 1955 Funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Laura Johnson, 73, from the Staffordsville Church of God at 10:00 a. m., Sunday, October 30, 1955. Mrs. Johnson, a resident of Staffordsville, died at her home at 2:30 p.m., Friday, October 28, 1955 after an illness of several months. The daughter of the later Mr. and Mrs. David Flanery, she was born April 15, 1882. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, John M. Johnson; one son, David and eight daughters, Mrs. Frank Stricklin, Mansfield, Ohio, Mrs. Allen James, Inez, Ky., Mrs. Victor Hackney, Justice, W. Va., Mrs. Earl Jones, Mrs. Mitchell Kimbler, both of Kerz, Mrs. Cody Stanley, Greensboro, N. C., Mrs. Oakley Lemaster, Wilkinson, W. Va., and Mrs. Marvin Blair, Staffordsville. Officiating ministers were Bruce Daniel and Willie Duty. Burial was in the Melvin Cemetery at Staffordsville under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
