ALVIN JOHNSON
1933-1974
Alvin "Bud" Johnson died suddenly Monday, August 19, at
the age of 41.
A route manager for Spurlock Foods of Prestonsburg,
Johnson was a veteran of World War II and had resided at
Thelma.
He was born January 10, 1933, the son of the late Levi
Johnson, and Mrs. Leona Daniel Johnson, who survives.
Also surviving are his wife, Martha Sue Bailey Johnson'
one son, Michael and three daughters, Teresa Collins,
Rhonda Sue Johnson and Amy Beth Johnson, all of Thelma.
Reverends Charles Price and Buell Ferguson officiated at
the funeral services for Mr. Johnson, held Wednesday,
August 21, in the New Concord United Baptist Church at
Thelma.
Burial was in the Johnson Family Cemetery at Thelma with
arrangements under the direction of the Jones- Preston
Funeral Home.
