JAMES LEWIS ISAACS
1887-1959
Double funeral services were held Sunday at Nippa for James Lewis
Isaccs, 71 and his wife, Martha Music Isaccs, 67 who died only 4
hours apart on March 12, 1959 both of heart attacks.

Mrs. Isaacs, who collasped when her husband suffered a sudden heart
attack and died at his Tutor Key home about 3:00 p.m. was removed
to a paintsville hospital where she died at 8:30 p.m. She was the
mother of Ernest James Music, a well known member of the
Paintsville Police Force.

Mr. Isaacs, a retired miner, was born in Johnson County June 13
1887, and was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. He is
survived by five children by a former marriage, Hobart Isaacs,
Nippa,Ky., John Isaacs, Ohio, Florence Castle, Plymouth, Ohio, Edna
Castle, Stambaugh, Ky., and Gertrude VanHoose, Lowmansville, Ky.

Mrs. Isaacs was born April 2 1891, a daughter of John and Lou
Borders VanHoose. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
She was first married to James Music and to this union were born
five surviving children, Ernest James Music, Lowmansville, Beulah
VanHoose, MacArthur, Ohio; Anna Lee VanHoose of Nippa, Ky., and
Opal Roller, Detriot, Mich. She also leaves the following brothers
and sisters: Hansel VanHoose, Wittensville; Wess VanHoose, Tutor
Key; Guy VanHoose, Tutor Key; Julia Castle, Gypsie Castle, Tutor
Key; Lydia Fairchild, Lowmansville; Grethel Daniel, West Van Lear;
Anna Witten, Sitka; and Fannie Castle, Charley, Ky.

The double funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m., at the
Freewill Baptist Church at Nippa by Rev. Millard VanHoose, and
Rev.Claude Preston.

Music was by the Tom's Creek Quartet.

Burial was in the Family Cemetery.

NOTE: The burial location for James Lewis Isaac is also known
as the "DAVIS-BURTON CEMETERY"

NOTE: James Lewis was buried beside his first wife Louverne
(McKenzie) Isaac, and that his second wife Martha VanHoose
Music Isaac was buried in the Clark Castle Cemetery in Nippa.
