MILLARD HUFF 1899-1970 Retired miner Millard Huff, 70, died Tuesday, December 30, 1970 in a local hospital. Born at Cabin Creek, West Virginia in March, 1899, he was the son of William and Rebecca Phelps Huff. He had been a Sitka resident for the past 36 years, and was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Zora Salyers Huff, a son, Robert Huff of Sitka, and two daughters, Mrs.Elmo Slone of Nippa and Mrs. Doris Doyle of Springfield, Ohio. A brother, Johnny Huff, lives at Meally. Five grandchildren also survive. Services were held Saturday, January 3, at the Surgar Grove United Baptist Church, with Bruce Daniels and Edward Salyers officiating. Burial followed in the Slone Cemetery at Sitka.
