WILLIE HITCHCOCK 1921-1998 Retired miner Willie Hitchcock, 77, died August 20 1998 at Three Rivers Medical Center, Louisa. Mr. Hitchcock was born December 14, 1921, in Johnson County, to the late James Edward and Hannah Baldwin Hitchcock. Surviving are his wife, Josephine Hitchcock of Hager Hill; two sons, James Hitchcock of Hager Hill and Larry Blanton of Leander; one daughter, Deborah Blair of Staffordsville; two sisters, Bethel Blair of Denver and Betty McCarty of Wabash, Indiana; and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday, August 23, at Beechwall United Baptist Church, with Elders James R. Blair, Jerry Colvin and Douglas Ward officiating. Burial was in Sam Blair Cemetery at Denver, with Paintsville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
