CHARLES HAMMOND
1925-1986
Charles Hammond, 60, died April 22, 1986 at St. Mary's Hospital in
Huntington, WV as the result of an automobile accident.
Hr. Hammond was born May 25, 1925, in Floyd County, the son of
PRINCE and JANE HUGHES.
He was a resident of Paintsville, a retired employee of Western
Coal and a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Loretta Anderson Hammond; a son, Charles
Foster Hammond of Paintsville; a daughter, Jane Ann Maynard of
Prichard, WV; two sisters, Dorothy Daniel of Van Lear and Beatrice
Blair of Paintsville; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 26, in Rock House
Freewill Baptist Church with Richard Williams officiating.
Burial was in Wells Cemetery in Paintsville, with Jones-Preston
Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
