JOE M GREER 1896-1963 Retired Miner, Dies Friday Joe M. Greer, 67, retired miner of Thealka, died in a local hospital at 10:55 p.m., Friday November 1, after an illness of several months. The son of Mose and Rosetta (Perkey) Greer, he was born in this county September 19, 1896, and had lived at Thealka the past 10 years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lattie Booth Greer; two sons, Bobbie Gene Greer, Ft. Wayne, IN; Billie Joe Greer, Thealka; three daughters, Mrs. Geraldine Craft, Meally; Mrs. Maxine Endicott, of this city; Mrs. Ernesting Collins, Prestonsburg. Also surviving are nineteen grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday, at the Thealka Freewill Baptist church with Don Fraley as officiating minister.
