Aged Red Bush Man  Succumbs Sunday
   
Luke P. Ferguson, 83, retired farmer, died at his home at Red Bush
at 10:35 P. M., Sunday, January 2, 1949 of pneumonia.  Mr.
Ferguson had been ill for the past year.
   
He was born in this county May 29, 1885, the son of Fred and
Margaret Williams Ferguson.  Most of his life was spent in the Red
Bush section.  He was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church.
  
He is survived by four children:  three sons and one daughter.
  
Burial was in the family cemetery Tuesday, January 4.  Funeral
services will be conducted later.
