EDWARD EVANS 1875-1953 Services Held Today For West Van Lear Man Edd Evans, 77, lifelong resident of Johnson County, died Sunday in a local hospital following an illness of four months. Born December 18, 1875, he was the son of William and Lousia Younts Evans. He was a resident of West Van Lear. Surviving are his wife, Della Conley Evans, four sons, Vencil Evans, Madison, Ind., Thomas and Farry Evans, both of Wharton, W. Va., Elizie Evans, Collista, two daughters, Miss Jincie Evans, West Van Lear, and Mrs. Myrtle Clark, Van Lear. Funeral services were held at the home today (Wednesday) with Rev. Adrian Davis and Rev. Charlie Lemaster officiating. Burial was made in the West Van Lear Cemetery under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home. Paintsville Herald Sept 2, 1953
