DELLA EVANS
1883-1967
  
Della Evans, 84, of Southside, died on Tuesday, December 12 1967,
at 7:45 a.m. at her home after an extended illness.
  
Born in Johnson County on August 19 1883, she was the daughter of
the late Tom and Sarah Reynolds Conley. She was affiliated with
the Freewill Baptist Church.
  
Her husband, Ed Evans, preceded her in death on August 30 1953.
  
Survivors include four sons, Vencil and Elzie of Paintsville;
Thomas of Tutor Key; and Fairy of Bim, W. Va. Two daughters also
survive, Jencie of Paintsville; and Mrs. Myrtle Clark of Van Lear.
  
One sister also survives, Mrs. Julia Spradlin of Denver.
  
Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 14, at 1:00 p.m.
at her home, with John Frank Ratliff and Charlie Lemaster
officiating.
  
Burial followed in the family cemetery at Hager hIll, under the
direction of the Jones- Preston Funeral Home.
