HASCA DIXON 1895-1955 HASCA DIXON, 59 DIES SUDDENLY OF HEART ATTACK Hasca Dixon, 59, well-known drilling contractor of this county, died suddenly of a heart attack Monday afternoon at his home in King Addition. Affiliated with the Freewill Baptist Church and a veteran of World War I, he was a member of one of Johnson County’s oldest and most prominent families. He was born October 8, 1895 at Wittensville, the son of the late Alonzo and Mary Hayes Dixon. Surviving are his wife, Lexie Conley Dixon, one son Harold Dixon, Apalachicola, Florida, one granddaughter, Sandra Dixon, also of Apalachicola; three brothers, Rolla Dixon, city, Arlie Dixon, Charleston, W.Va., Elmer Dixon, Gardiner, Ky.; one sister, Mrs. Hesta Davis, Winifred. He was preceded in death in 1929 by an infant son, Charles Lowell. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the Third Street Freewill Baptist Church with Claude Preston and C.C. Hall as officiating ministers. Music will be by the Paintsville Quartet. Burial will be in the Dixon Cemetery at Sitka under the direction of the Paintsville Funeral Home.
