Wittensville Man Dies Friday, Victim Of Stroke Guy Dixon, 75, Prominent Farmer Buried Sunday Guy Dixon, 75, widely known farmer of Wittensville, died in a local hospital at 12:05 a.m. Friday, January 2. He suffered a stroke that was followed by pneumonia, and had been ill about one week. Mr. Dixon was born February 22, 1877, a son of the late Isaac and Margurite May Dixon, and had been a resident of Johnson County his entire life. He followed farming as an occupation. Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Lou McKenzie and by his second wife, Marguerite Slone Dixon. Surviving are his widow, Anna Childers Dixon, Roy Dixon of Overpeak, Ohio, two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Wilcox, Wittensville, Mrs. Merlie Kimmerlee, Dayton, Ohio, and the following brother and sisters, Don Dixon, Ashland, Ky., Mrs. Jim McKenzie, and Mrs. Langley Preston, both of Sitka, and Mrs. Warren Van Hoose of Frankfort, Kentucky. Funeral services were held Sunday at 10:00 a.m. at the Freewill Baptist Church at Nippa by Reverend Claude Preston and Reverend Harry Salyer.
