PROCTOR DAVIS 1883-1958 Proctor Davis Of Tutor Key Dies Saturday Proctor Davis, 74, veteran of the Spanish American War and resident of Tutor Key, died in a local hospital Saturday afternoon following an illness of several years. A retired miner and a member of the U.M.W.A., he was born in Johnson County July 25, 1883, and had lived at Tutor Key most of his life. He had been a member of the United Baptist Church for the past fifty years. Surviving are his widow, Ora Hess Davis; six sons, William and James Davis, both of this city; Herbert Davis, Albuquerque, N. M.; Howard Davis, Marysville, Washington; Roman Davis, Russell; Willis Davis, Oil Springs; seven daughters, Mrs. Russell Meade and Mrs. Robert Blevins, both of this city; Mrs. Maurice Williams, Louisville, Mrs. Harold Dixon, Gainesville, Ga.; Mrs. Fredrick Roberts, Louisville, Mrs. James C. Reed and Miss Mary Sue Davis, both of Tutor Key. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 from the Tutor Key United Baptist Church with Cullie Sparks and L.T.
