MILROY F DANIEL 1867-1952 Milroy L. Daniel Dies March 22 Services Held Tuesday For Johnson Co. Man Milroy L. Daniel, 85, died Saturday, March 22, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Dan Sort, Van Lear, Ky., after an illness of three months. Born in Johnson County, January 22, 1867, he was the son of George and Elizabeth Helton Daniel. A retired farmer and miner, he was a member of the Latter Day Saints. He had been a resident of Van Lear, Ky., for about a year. His wife preceded him in death March 19, 1951. Surviving are three daughters and four sons, Mrs. Dan Shore, Van Lear; Mrs. Frances Phelps, Martin, Ky.; Mrs. John Ward, Jr., Hampton, Va.; George W. Daniel, Sitka, Ky.; Roy, Charles Collis and Rowland Daniel, all of Tutor Key, Ky. A sister and three brothers also survive. They are Mrs. Frank Preston, Lon Daniel, Joe Daniel and John Daniel, all of Tutor Key. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 25, at the home at Tutor Key by Elders John Martin Wheeler and Les Smith. Burial was in the family cemetery at Tutor Key, under the direction of the Jones Funeral Home.
