Death Takes Aged County Man
Joseph H. Daniel Dies November 20,1947
Joseph H. Daniel, 80, died at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. Levi Johnson, at Thelma, Thursday, November
20,1947,at 12:10 P.M. after a long illness.
Mr. Daniel had been a lifelong member of the United
Baptist Church, and he was a widely known and respected
citizen.
Surviving are seven children, three sons and four
daughters, William Daniel,of Richardson; E. B. Daniel,
of Auxier; Frank Daniel of East Point; Mrs. J. G. Nowlin,
Detroit, Mich.; Mrs. Montana Travis, Catlettsburg; Mrs.
Virgie Blanton, City; and Mrs. Johnson. He is survived
also by one brother and two sisters: W. E. Daniel,
Seco,Ky.; Mrs. Miranda Van Hoose, Tutor Key; and Mrs.
Emma Spears, Thealka.
Funeral Services were held Saturday at one o'clock at the
Johnson residence by Rev. L. T. Preston.
Burial was made in the family cemetary at Thelma under
the direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
