OLGA COOPER 1882-1961 Miss Olga Cooper, 79, well-known resident of this city, died at ther home on College Street at 8:30 a.m., Friday, November 24, after an extended illness. The daughter of the late C.M. and Genoah Spradlin Cooper, she was born August 26, 1882, and had been a lifelong resident of Paintsville. Her early education was obtained in the Paintsville schools, and she was one of the city's most popular and attracative young women. A musician of outstanding talent, she was a graduate of the music department of Tansylvania College, Lexington. She was a member of the Mayo Memorial Church. A brother, Frank Cooper preceded her in death. Surviving are three nephews, Frank D. Cooper, City, C.M. Cooper, Holden, W. VA., and Bob Cooper, Inez. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday from the chapel of the Paintsville Funeral Home with the Reverend Charles Perry, pastor of the Mayo Church as officiating minister.
