WILLIAM CASTLE 1912-1992 William "Bill Meade" Castle, 79, died Wednesday, April 29 at his Nippa Residence. Mr. Castle was born July 27 1912 in Johnson County, the son of the late Tobe and Martha Castle-Castle. He was a retired miner and member of the Baker Branch Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Pauline Castle; six sons, Lawrence Dwane Castle of Nippa, Bobby Lee Castle of Lowmansville, William Earl Castle of Ashland, Tobie David Castle of Mascoutah, Illinois, Marvin Ray Castle of Colquitt, Georgia and Roger Jay Castle of Phoenix, Arizona; one daughter, Diane M. Daniel of Wittensville; one brother, Mitchell Meade of Paintsville, Savannah Burns of Nippa; and nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 2, in Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with Roger VanHoose and Venny VanHoose officiating. Burial was in the family cemetery at Nippa.
