RICHARD CASTLE 1911-1965 PASSES ON FEBRUARY 11 Richard Castle, 53, died at 2:15 p.m., February 10, after suffering a heart attack. Born May 11, 1911, he was the son of Cleve and Virgie Bell Sadler Castle. He was a resident of Tutor Key and was affiliated with the United Baptist Church. He was a former coal miner. Surviving is his wife Mary Elizabeth Vanhoose Castle. He is survived by one son, Richard Thomas Castle, Bellevue Mish., three daughters, Mrs. John J. Preston, Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Carl Clay, David, and Mrs. Harry VanHoose, South Charleston, W. Va. Other survivors include two brothers, Grover Castle, Lowmansville and Cody of Nippa; four sisters, Mrs. Carmel VanHoose, Sitka, Mrs. Arthur Scarberry, Lowmansville, Mrs. Ollie Daniel, Springfield, Ohio, Mrs. Ellis Scarberry, Lowmansville, and eleven grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at the Tom's Creek United Baptist Church on February 13 at 11:00 a.m. with the Revs. Lonza Reed, Arnold Reed and Collie Sparks officiating.
