Cerebral HemorrhageFatal To Local Man

Funeral services were held at the Van Lear Freewill Baptist Church
Saturday, June 28, at 2:00 p.m. for Milty Castle, 64, who died in a
local hospital June 25 1952 following an illness of one week.

Death was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage.

Born February 29, 1888 in Johnson County, he was the son of J. C.
and Katherine Fairchilds Castle.

A retired miner, he was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church,
Van Lear Lodge 885 F&AM, and the Paintsville Lodge 1658 B. P. O. E.

He is survived by his wife, Reece Robinson Castle, three daughters,
Mrs. Katherine Meadows, Van Lear, Kentucky, Mrs. Elizabeth Adams,
Jenkins, Kentucky, and Mrs. Ruie Webb, Wabash, Indiana; five
brothers, Lonnie Castle, city, James Castle, Cabin Creek, W.
Virginia, Robert Castle, Stambaugh, Kentucky, William Castle,
Columbus, Ohio, and Frank Castle, Ypsilanti, Michigan.

The funeral service was conducted by Revs. Claude Preston and Don
Fraley.

Graveside services were under the direction of the Masonic Lodge.
Music was furnished by the Toms Creek Singers.

Burial was made in the family cemetery at Turner Branch under the
direction of the Jones Funeral Home.
