ELLA CANTRELL
1896 1959
Mrs. Ella Cantrell, age 62, passed away in a local hospital at 7:30
p.m., March 13, 1959.
The daughter of Adron and Mary Blanton Napier, she was born April
23, 1896, in Magoffin County, but resided on Preston Street at the
time of her death.
She was a member of the United Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Mance Cantrell, and five sons;
Mitchell Cantrell, Paintsville, Mance Cantrell, Jr., Walter
Cantrell and Hershell Cantrell of Cleveland, Ohio, and Estill
Cantrell, West Van Lear; three daughters, Mary Alice Adams, West
Van Lear, Betty Hale, Pineville, Ky., Bertice Mae Spradlin, West
Van Lear; and one sister, Sally Curtis, Brooksville, Ky., two
brothers, A.J. Napier, Foster, W. Va., and Menifee Napier of
Thealka.
Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. March 17, at the Lick Fork
United Baptist Church with Merida Wiley, Paris Music and Grover
Fannin as officiating ministers.
Interment followed in the family cemetery.
