For Inis Boyd
Inis Boyd, 24, of Thelma, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Boyd, died at 9:20 Sunday shortly after being admitted to
the Paintsville Clinic.
According to her physician, death was caused by acute
poisoning, but further details were not learned.
She had been ill since suffering a stroke about four
years ago while working away from home.
Born in Johnson County, she had resided here all her
life, and was a member of the United Baptist Church.
She was a graduate of the Meade Memorial High School.
Surviving besides her parents, are the following brothers
and sisters: Hansford Canton, O.; Joe Jr. Thelma;
James Robert, U. S. Army; Mrs. Wallace Fraley, Thelma; and
Mrs. J. W. Guthrie, Carlinsville, Ill.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the
home of her parents by Hershel Short. Musical selections
were given by the Buffalo Choir.
Burial was made in the family cemetery under the
direction of the Preston Funeral Home.
