HERBERT C. BLEVINS

Herbert Chum Blevins, 86, died Saturday, December 26, 1987 at his
residence.
  
Mr. Blevins was born June 25, 1901 in Johnson County, the son of
Jim and Mollie Bolden Blevins.
  
He was a retired miner.
  
Surviving are his wife, Dixie Simpson Blevins; one son, Herbert
Blevins, Jr., of Offutt; three daughters, Katherine Simpson, of
Meally, Irene Music, of Nippa, and Lorene Young, of Van Lear; one
brother James Blevins, of Prestonsburg; one sister, Thelma Preston,
of Williamsport; and 20 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
  
Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 29, in Preston Funeral
Home Chapel, with J. M. Scott officiating.
  
Burial was in Old Friendship Memorial Gardens at Williamsport.
